Quick Facts DieMount GmbH

DieMount GmbH was founded in September 2001, share holders are the Swiss company OptoNet AG und Dr.-Ing. Hans Kragl, who is the managing director, too. From 2003 to 2006 the company site was Erfurt/Thüringen, in March 2006 the company moved to its actual site Wernigerode/Sachsen-Anhalt. DieMount develops and fabricates electro-optic modules according to a novel, patent protected process for fiber-chip alignment. 

DieMount products aim at the following markets:

• Optical data communication systems for local access networks (focus on systems for polymer optical fiber (POF))
• Fiber optic sensors
• LED illumination

DieMount fabrictes its products on a 300sqm area including a 70sqm clean room for die and wire bonding process steps. At present there are 5 employees at DieMount. From January 2003 to September 2005 the company received financial funds from the German program FUTOUR2000 to carry out the innovation project "Microstructured coupling elements for  high effient optical fiber-chip coupling". Since January 2006 DieMount is a project partner in the European development project POF-ALL. The target of POF-All is the development of the next generation POF based data transmission systems.
