1x2 splitter
 DieMount fabricates passive optical POF-components like optical splitters according to the process as described in the presentation "Grinded polymer fiber couplers" (download).

The process is mainly applied to 1mm standard POF, but it is feasible to transfer it to POF with smaller core diameter down to 0.25mm. Splitter for POF with core diameter 0.5mm and smaller require precision metal ferrules for assemly. 
Transceiver simplex rot
Main application of our 1x2 POF splitter are standard 1mm POF based simplex transceiver that transmit and receive simultaneously on a single fiber POF cable data in both directions. The splitters are optimized for symetrical power splitting, high cross talk attenuation and a splitter length of max. 60mm.
Splitter comprising different splitting  ratios, other POF types, different splitting numbers or different lengths are customer specific products that require a considerably higher effort for tooling.
1x4 Splitter
Our new developed POF splice process allows the combination of several 1x2 splitter base units to more complex splitter devices or splitters with increased lengths. The photo left shows a 1x4 splitter made of three 1x2 splitters by splicing. The coupling loss per splice is in the order of 0.5dB.
